AmericanKidz is a full service adoption agency. We are licensed in the state of Florida as AmericanKidz Adoption Services, Inc. and in Georgia, as AmericanKidz of Georgia, Inc. AmericanKidz was the "brainchild" of founder Kathleen Calcutt in 2004. Kathleen and her husband Patrick Calcutt are both attorneys and partners in the law firm of Calcutt & Calcutt, P.A. Kathleen and Patrick are the parents of six children, including three adopted boys.
AmericanKidz provides legal and counseling services for the purpose of coordinating the adoption of newborn infants, children in foster care and children with special needs all over the United States. AmericanKidz also work with Americans stationed or working abroad. The staff of AmericanKidz has a special appreciation for the intricate and important details of the adoption process. It is our goal to provide you with the best service possible as we work with you to expand your family through adoption.
AmericanKidz recognizes that expectant mothers and adoptive families have different emotional and physical needs. Our Birth Mother Coordinators provide in-person social work services directly to our expectant mothers and are available 24 hours a day. Face to face birth parent services result in a better adoption experience for all involved. All of our birth mothers are given the direct contact numbers for their social worker, the Agency director and Kathleen Calcutt. Help is only a telephone call away 24 hours a day. Our Adoptive Family Coordinator works exclusively with our adoptive families. She provides timely advice and updates for our adoptive families and helps them navigate the ups and downs of their adoption journey. AmericanKidz also provides home study and post placement services for families wishing to adopt.
